- ▸ Half‑moon silhouette The body tapers slightly toward the top and swells below – a smooth, rounded half‑moon curve that is both elegant and balanced.
- ▸ One‑curve spout (yī wān liú) The spout curves gently with a slight upward tilt and crisp ridgelines, adding a touch of strength to the soft form.
- ▸ Bamboo hat lid & pearl knob The lid is shaped like a bamboo hat (li mao), with a single‑line pressed fit (yā gài) that meets the short neck seamlessly. The pearl‑shaped knob (bǎo zhū niǔ) is well‑defined.
- ▸ Flying handle The handle has a vertical arc with a hint of square‑ware crispness – echoing the spout’s energy while blending rigidity with softness.
- ▸ Double‑layered foot The base features an innovative double‑layered construction, enhancing stability and adding a refined, finished look.
- ▸ Qingduan clay character This Duan clay variant fires to a warm pale greenish‑beige, with distinct sand grains that create a layered texture. It develops a soft, matte patina – ideal for oolong, yancha, and raw pu’er.
✧ Seasoning & care — Rinse with pure water after each session; avoid detergents. The Qingduan clay will develop a beautiful patina over time, enhancing its antique charm. The double‑layered foot should be cleaned gently.
