Zhuni Cinnabar Clay Shunxiang Teapot 120cc Yixing Teapot
Shunxiang Teapot
This teapot is a faithful revival of the early Qing “Caoge” mark Shunxiang form – an antique elegance steadily passed down through generations. The body follows a classic olive silhouette, yet it is surprisingly full and substantial – not thin at all. The lines transition naturally from mouth to base, creating a harmonious, continuous curve. The spout is a crisp one‑curve (yī wān liú), while the handle is a well‑proportioned ring. The lid has a beautifully rounded, slightly domed surface (xū miàn), with a distinctive knob: a small vertical pillar (lì zhù niǔ) that also carries a subtle ring‑knob (quān niǔ) quality – lively and comfortable to grip. The base is slightly raised (jiā dǐ), adding a sense of poise; the whole teapot stands gracefully, elegant even when empty. Crafted from Zhuni Cinnabar Clay, it fires to a warm, translucent orange‑red, with fine sand grains visible on the surface. At 120 cc, it is perfect for solitary slow sipping or sharing tea with a friend.

- ▸ Olive silhouette, full body The classic olive form is executed with exceptional fullness – not thin or flat, but generously rounded, with smooth transitions from mouth to base.
- ▸ One‑curve spout & ring handle The spout is clean and efficient; the ring handle has a comfortable arc, perfectly matched to the body.
- ▸ Domed lid & pillar‑ring knob The lid surface is beautifully rounded (xū miàn). The knob combines a small vertical pillar with a ring‑like feel – both distinctive and easy to lift.
- ▸ Raised base The slightly elevated base enhances the teapot’s upright posture, adding a touch of refinement and stability.
- ▸ Zhuni clay performance Zhuni’s dense structure locks in heat and fragrance instantly. The fine sand grains become more tactile with use, and the clay develops a glowing patina – ideal for yancha, oolong, and dancong.
